Announcements Parish Life

Dear Parish Family,

Sunday Mass and the Road to Emmaus

Thank you all for a beautiful weekend celebration of Masses. This weekend was a deeply moving for me in many ways. Our Lord is doing very special things during these difficult times. I was glad to see so many of you at Mass and I pray that our ability to be together though in this limited way continues to grow. As I mentioned in my homily Jesus meets us where we are on the road of our lives.

I have confirmed everything with the diocese and we can continue with our plans to have Mass in this manner moving forward as a stable way to offer Mass in these unstable times. We will be making some modifications to our outdoor patio to help with the difficulties we had with wind and minimize the overall weather impact. We will be modifying the way we receive Holy Communion as well by moving reception of Holy Communion inside the Church itself with three stations at the front of the Church. Three people will be admitted at a time while maintaining social distancing. An usher will direct the communicants into the church and once inside the Church to their stations. Once having received Holy Communion each person will exit the main east side exit and go down the sidewalk and back to their car. We are moving the stations inside to remove the weather factor and maintain better more secure care of the Eucharist. Please be attentive to more explicit instructions to follow.

We are also hoping to have a much improved way to radio broadcast the sound for the Mass this weekend as well. Please stay tuned.

I pray that this continues to be a fruitful way for our faithful to actually participate in Mass at this time.

Wednesday Open Zoom chat with Father Coleman

I had a wonderful time last Wednesday catching up with everyone who signed on and I think it was mutual for everyone who participated. So I’m going to do it again each Wednesday evening from 6:30-8pm for the foreseeable future.
