Weekly Mass Update
It has been wonderful seeing everyone that has been able to come out and participate in our Drive-in Masses the past couple of weekends. As I have mentioned there are a few changes for this upcoming Saturday and Sunday. Masses will be at 7pm and 10am only at this time. The 10am Mass is an attempt to compromise between the two normal Mass times until we reach the point that I need to add another Mass slot because we are at capacity with one Sunday Mass. It also provides an earlier time where it is slightly cooler than the 11:30am start time, while not being too early for those folks who would like to come but are for one reason or another not able to make an earlier time.
Bathroom use: We are making provisions for people to be able to use the restroom during Mass, after the start and by the end of the homily. We ask that parishioners in a dignified and reverent manner notify the usher and they will be able to coordinate to ensure there isn’t already another parishioner who has made use. One person at a time may use the restroom, and any children 12 years and under MUST BE ESCORTED BY A PARENT, NOT AN OLDER SIBLING.
Car Windows: We have checked with the local police department about permitting for a greater allowance for opening car windows. What we can allow is that windows on both sides of the cars are open half-way. Provided people are not using it as an opportunity to socially interact, before during, or after Mass.
Small children who it may be difficult or cannot be left alone during communion time may accompany their parent provided a proper facial covering can be worn or maintained for the child.
Mobility Accommodations for those who are physically limited in mobility will be able to attend Mass up until communion in the church in the socially distance pew spaces allotted. We only have 5 spaces available for each Mass. They are for use for those who have great difficulties walking either with cane or walker long distances and climbing chairs. Unfortunately, spaces are not available for able bodied spouses. After receiving communion, they will be asked to return to their cars which will be parked in the first five accessibility spaces immediately in front of the Church on the Bartlett St. side. Mass will be live streamed on a television inside the church until the time of communion. Masks must be worn by all during this time in the church.
All of this being said I encourage everyone to reflect during this time on the Mass and the Eucharist and the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, that there are many who still for whatever reason would like to come to Mass but still cannot. They would gladly attend Mass whenever, and wherever it would be offered but they still cannot. For those of us who are healthy enough and able bodied enough to attend Mass in even this restricted capacity to reflect on the importance of Mass and the Eucharist in our lives. Is the ability to attend Mass and receive Jesus the most important desire of our lives or are we still getting caught up on thoughts of convenience that may keep us from coming to Him who died for us?
5 Week Study Series on the Eucharist and the Mass
I will be beginning a 5-week series on the Eucharist from the Formed Lectio Series on the Eucharist with Dr. Brant Pitre and the Sacraments Series Presence on the Eucharist. We will begin Monday May 11 at 7pm and the Series will be done via Zoom on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7-8:30pm. I will publish the details both on our website and Facebook for how to participate. Stay tuned as they say for further updates.
Wednesday Open Zoom chat with Father Coleman
I had a wonderful time last Wednesday catching up with everyone who signed on and I think it was mutual for everyone who participated. So I’m going to do it again each Wednesday evening from 6:30-8pm for the foreseeable future. Watch for more information on Wednesday of how to join the meeting!

Ha sido maravilloso ver a todos los que han podido venir y participar en nuestras Misas de conducción los últimos dos fines de semana. Como he mencionado, hay algunos cambios para este próximo sábado y domingo. Las misas serán a las 7pm y 10am solo en este momento. La misa de las 10 am es un intento de compromiso entre los dos tiempos de misa normales hasta que lleguemos al punto en que necesito agregar otro espacio para la misa porque estamos en capacidad con una misa dominical. También
proporciona un tiempo más temprano en el que es ligeramente más frío 11:30 am hora de inicio, aunque no es demasiado temprano para aquellas personas que desean venir pero que por una razón u otra no pueden llegar antes.

Uso del baño: estamos tomando medidas para que las personas puedan usar el baño durante la misa, después del comienzo y al final de la homilía. Ventanas de automóviles: hemos consultado con el departamento de policía local acerca de permitir una mayor asignación para abrir las ventanas de automóviles. Lo que podemos permitir es que las ventanas a ambos lados de los autos estén abiertas hasta la mitad. Siempre que las personas no lo usen como una oportunidad para interactuar socialmente, antes, durante o después de la misa.
Los niños pequeños que pueden ser difíciles o que no se pueden dejar solos durante el tiempo de comunión pueden acompañar a sus padres siempre que se pueda usar o mantener una cubierta facial adecuada para el niño.
Movilidad Las acomodaciones para aquellos con limitaciones físicas en la movilidad podrán asistir a misa hasta la comunión en la iglesia en los espacios socialmente alejados asignados. Solo tenemos 5 espacios disponibles para cada misa. Son para uso para aquellos que tienen grandes dificultades para caminar con bastón o andador largas distancias y escalar sillas. Desafortunadamente, los espacios no están disponibles para los cónyuges sin discapacidad. Después de recibir la comunión, se les pedirá que regresen a sus automóviles, que estarán estacionados en los primeros cinco espacios de accesibilidad inmediatamente frente a la Iglesia en el lado de la calle Bartlett. La misa se transmitirá en vivo por televisión dentro de la iglesia hasta el momento de la comunión. Todos deben usar máscaras durante este tiempo en la iglesia.

Eucaristía en nuestras vidas. ¿Es la capacidad de asistir a Misa y recibir a Jesús el deseo más importante de nuestras vidas o todavía estamos atrapados en pensamientos de conveniencia que pueden evitar que nos acerquemos a Aquel que murió por nosotros?
Serie de estudio de 5 semanas sobre la Eucaristía y la misa
Comenzaré una serie de 5 semanas sobre la Eucaristía de la Serie Lectio Formada sobre la Eucaristía con el Dr. Brant Pitre y la Presencia de la Serie Sacramentos sobre la Eucaristía.
