Dear Parish Family,
I wanted to share with you God’s consolation message to each one of us in the first reading. Through the Prophet Isaiah is very apt. Jesus’s feeding of the multitude shows that whenever people are prepared to share, God sees to it that everyone, givers and receivers have more than enough.
In one way or another, we are all hungry, thirsty, and sick. This pandemic has humbled us to realize that various things we spent our time and energy on, and many things we held as indispensable no longer matter. Many things we are worried and upset about no longer matter. Think of those things that we could not do without in the past. Now, we are surviving without them. Now, life, health and safety is all that matters; and we are all gasping for it. God, the origin and source of life, invites us, “Come to me heedfully, pray, listen, share that you may have life.” The Collect Prayer for last Sunday’s Mass reminds us that without God nothing is holy and nothing has firm foundation.
St. Paul encourages us that anguish, distress, persecution, famine, violence, peril, or even the pandemic can’t keep us from the love of Christ and faith in Him. Let us continue to persevere and keep the flag of faith flying through the intercessions Our Lady Mary Mother of God.
Some House Keeping:
- Thank you to all those working in the White Glove Ministry, those who have been helping to clean and disinfect the Church and Parish hall after each Mass or activity in line with best practices. We continue to appeal for more volunteers to help with other areas of the Parish life.
- In the next few weeks I will be meeting with the different Commission Chairs for introductions and gain an understanding as to the current projects and challenges within their commissions. This will be a time for me to gain perspective of the community and how I can best serve you. I look forward to learning from you and sharing with you my perspective.
- Thank you to everyone for the time, warm welcome and hospitality which is helping to gradually get my feet on the ground. I look forward to meeting you all.

Querida familia parroquial,
Quería compartir con ustedes el mensaje de consolación de Dios para cada uno de nosotros en la primera lectura. A través del profeta Isaías es muy apto. La alimentación de Jesús de la multitud muestra que cada vez que las personas están preparadas para compartir, Dios se encarga de que todos, los donantes y los receptores tengan más que suficiente.
De una forma u otra, todos estamos hambrientos, sedientos y enfermos. Esta pandemia nos ha humillado al darnos cuenta de que varias cosas en las que gastamos nuestro tiempo y energía, y muchas cosas que consideramos indispensables ya no importan. Muchas cosas por las que estamos preocupados y molestos ya no importan. Piense en esas cosas que no podríamos prescindir en el pasado. Ahora, estamos sobreviviendo sin ellos. Ahora, la vida, la salud y la seguridad es lo único que importa; y todos
estamos jadeando por eso. Dios, el origen y la fuente de la vida, nos invita: “Ven a mí atentamente, reza, escucha, comparte para que puedas tener vida”. La oración colectiva para la misa del domingo pasado nos recuerda que sin Dios nada es santo y nada tiene un fundamento firme.
San Pablo nos alienta que la angustia, la angustia, la persecución, el hambre, la violencia, el peligro o incluso la pandemia no pueden alejarnos del amor de Cristo y la fe en Él. Sigamos perseverando y manteniendo la bandera de la fe ondeando a través de las intercesiones Nuestra Señora María Madre de Dios.
Un poco de mantenimiento de la casa:
- Gracias a todos los que trabajan en el Ministerio de White Glove, aquellos que han estado ayudando a limpiar y desinfectar el salón de la Iglesia y la Parroquia después de cada Misa o actividad de acuerdo
con las mejores prácticas. Seguimos pidiendo más voluntarios para ayudar con otras áreas de la vida parroquial. - En las próximas semanas me reuniré con los diferentes presidentes de las comisiones para presentarles y comprender los proyectos y desafíos actuales dentro de sus comisiones. Este será un momento para mí para obtener una perspectiva de la comunidad y cómo puedo servirle mejor. Espero aprender de usted y compartir con usted mi perspectiva.
- Gracias a todos por el tiempo, cálida bienvenida y hospitalidad que me está ayudando a poner mis pies en el suelo. Espero conocerlos a todos.
