Dear Parish Family,
First Holy Communion
This upcoming Sunday is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ otherwise known as Corpus Christi. This year because of the Pandemic in a very fitting way we will be celebrating First Holy Communion as a parish. We will be having a bilingual Mass at our 7pm Saturday evening Mass next Saturday anyone who would like to come and support our First Communicants and their families through your presence and prayer at Mass are welcome to do so. We have eight young members of our community who will receive Jesus sacramentally present Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity for the very first time in the Holy Eucharist. Please keep Crosley Prenger, Kasey Torres Guerrero, Samuel Hernandez Longinos, Oliver Arellano, Hanna Blitch, Madeline Phillips Jonathan and Christian Trejo and their families in your prayers this week as they approach this awesome event in their lives and ours. May it be the beginning of an ever growing blessing in their lives.
Corpus Christi
Traditionally on the Feast of Corpus Christi it is customary to have a Eucharistic procession and prolonged time of Adoration. In years past we have had a procession from Bridge Park to the Church with our Eucharistic Lord. This year we cannot have the large gathering and procession from Bridge Park like we have had in the past. However, we will still have a procession and Adoration next Sunday at the conclusion of the 10am Drive-in Mass. We will expose Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament as is customary at the end of Mass outside on our Altar in the monstrance. I will then process through the parking lot with Our Blessed Lord in the Eucharist. I ask that during this time no one try to leave in their cars, that everyone please wait until the conclusion of the procession which will conclude in the Church on the main altar. Before entering the church, I will offer benediction with the Blessed Sacrament to everyone outside. At that time the faithful are encouraged to come inside and spend time with our Lord in Adoration. There will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 3pm in the Church. We will conclude with Benediction at 3pm. There will be a signup genius created for the hours of 12pm-3pm with 2 people per hour. The signup genius is NOT A LIMIT; it is only to ensure that someone(s) will be with our Lord at all times. Our limit will be 35 people in the pews.
Phase II Reminders for Confessions and Sunday Mass
Confessions:
As a result of the available changes from Phase II Confessions will now return to the indoor confessional. I ask that the confession line begin outside the swinging double doors to the Confessional hallway. There are lines on the floor with blue painter’s tape which are 6 feet apart please use these as a reference to maintain social distance as much as possible at all times. During confession times please refrain from conversation in the church Narthex (Foyer/Entrance Area) and please keep swinging double doors closed to maintain privacy of the penitent. Please continue to use the hand sanitizer at the welcome desk as you enter. There will be hand sanitizer to use on the table outside of the confessional before entry. Inside there will be a container of Clorox wipes to wipe down either the kneeler or chair before leaving the confessional.
Sunday Mass:
Communion: As a function of the Phase II directives and the Directives from the Diocese it is not necessary to social distance within families and it is not necessary to purify and sanitize between individual family members for the distribution of Holy Communion. In light of this fact I am asking couples and families to come to the same communion station together. I am asking the ushers at the drive in Mass to release whole cars together and to go to the same Communion station. This will enable for more efficient distribution of Holy Communion and families to remain together during Communion.
Lawn Chairs for Drive in Mass: People no longer need to remain in their cars during drive in Mass. If people would like they may bring folding lawn chairs to sit out in front of their cars during Mass. Those who may be parked in the second row may bring their chairs to sit in the front entry lane in front of the first row of cars. There is again no need to maintain social distancing within households/families however we must still maintain social distancing between families.
Use of Masks/Face Coverings outside: While outside it is not necessary to wear a mask or face covering as long as we are able to maintain social distancing of 6 feet or more from non-family or household members. If we cannot maintain social distancing, then masks or face coverings are to be worn. I continue to ask that masks or face coverings be worn at all times inside the church building with the exception of the moment of reception of Holy Communion.
As a reminder these policies flow from charity. It is a true act of love to desire to protect our neighbor so that we can continue to participate in greater community during these difficult times. We need to be greater examples of love in the world, a love that sacrifices for the other if we hope to evangelize and transform the culture one act of love at a time.

Primera comunión
Este próximo domingo es la solemnidad del Santísimo Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo, también conocida como Corpus Christi. Este año, debido a la pandemia de una manera muy apropiada, celebraremos la Primera Comunión como parroquia. Tendremos una misa bilingüe en nuestra
misa de la tarde del sábado a las 7pm el próximo sábado, cualquiera que desee venir y apoyar a nuestros primeros comunicantes y sus familias a través de su presencia y oración en la misa, puede hacerlo. Tenemos ocho jóvenes miembros de nuestra comunidad que recibirán por primera vez en la Sagrada Eucaristía a Jesús presente sacramentalmente Cuerpo, Sangre, Alma y Divinidad. Por favor mantenga (inserte nombres aquí) y sus familias en sus oraciones esta semana mientras se acercan a este increíble evento en sus vidas y en la nuestra. Que sea el comienzo de una bendición cada vez mayor en sus vidas.
Corpus Christi
Tradicionalmente, en la fiesta del Corpus Christi, es costumbre tener una procesión eucarística y un tiempo prolongado de adoración. En años pasados hemos tenido una procesión desde Bridge Park a la Iglesia con nuestro Señor Eucarístico. Este año no podemos tener la gran reunión y procesión de Bridge Park como hemos tenido en el pasado. Sin embargo, todavía tendremos una procesión y adoración el próximo domingo al concluir la misa de entrada a las 10 am. Expondremos a Jesús en el Santísimo Sacramento como es costumbre al final de la misa afuera en nuestro altar en la custodia. Luego pasaré por el estacionamiento con Nuestro Bendito Señor en la Eucaristía. Pido que durante este tiempo nadie intente salir en sus autos, que todos esperen hasta la conclusión de la procesión que concluirá en la Iglesia en el altar principal. Antes de entrar a la iglesia, ofreceré la bendición con el Santísimo Sacramento a todos los que
están afuera. En ese momento, se alienta a los fieles a entrar y pasar tiempo con nuestro Señor en Adoración. Habrá Adoración del Santísimo Sacramento hasta las 3pm en la Iglesia. Concluiremos con Benediction a las 3pm. Habrá un genio de registro creado para las horas de 12 pm-3pm con 2 personas por hora. El genio de la inscripción NO ES UN LÍMITE, es solo
para garantizar que alguien esté con nuestro Señor en todo momento. Nuestro límite será de 35 personas en los bancos.
Fase II Recordatorios para confesiones y misa dominical
Confesiones: Como resultado de los cambios disponibles de la Fase II, las Confesiones ahora volverán al confesionario en interiores. Pido que la línea de confesión comience afuera de las puertas dobles que se abren hacia el pasillo del Confesionario. Hay líneas en el piso con cinta de pintor azul que están a 6 pies de distancia. Úselos como referencia para mantener la distancia social tanto como sea posible en todo momento. Durante los tiempos de confesión, por favor absténgase de conversar en la iglesia Narthex (Vestíbulo / Área de entrada) y mantenga cerradas las puertas dobles para mantener la privacidad del penitente. Continúe usando el
desinfectante para manos en el mostrador de bienvenida cuando ingrese. Habrá desinfectante de manos para usar en la mesa fuera del confesionario antes de la entrada. En el interior habrá un recipiente con toallitas Clorox para limpiar la rodilla o la silla antes de abandonar el confesionario.
Misa de sabado dominical:
Comunión: en función de las directivas de la Fase II y de las Directivas de la Diócesis, no es necesario distanciarse socialmente entre las familias y no es necesario purificar y desinfectar entre los miembros individuales de la familia para la distribución de la Sagrada Comunión. A la luz de este hecho, les pido a las parejas y familias que vengan juntas a la misma estación de
comunión. Les pido a los ujieres que conducen en la misa que suelten autos completos juntos y que vayan a la misma estación de Comunión. Esto permitirá una distribución más eficiente de la Sagrada Comunión y las familias para permanecer juntas durante la Comunión. Sillas de jardín para conducir en la misa: las personas ya no necesitan permanecer en sus
automóviles durante la conducción en la misa. Si la gente quisiera, pueden traer sillas de jardín plegables para sentarse frente a sus automóviles durante la misa. Aquellos que pueden estacionarse en el segundo la fila puede traer sus sillas para sentarse en el carril de entrada delantero frente a la primera fila de automóviles. Una vez más, no es necesario mantener el
distanciamiento social dentro de los hogares / familias; sin embargo, debemos mantener el distanciamiento social entre las familias.
Uso de máscaras / cubiertas faciales al aire libre: mientras esté afuera, no es necesario usar una máscara o cubierta facial siempre que podamos mantener un distanciamiento social de 6 pies o más de los miembros de la familia o no familiares. Si no podemos mantener el distanciamiento social, entonces se deben usar máscaras o cubiertas faciales. Sigo pidiendo que se usen máscaras o cubiertas faciales en todo momento dentro del edificio de la iglesia, con la excepción del momento de la recepción de la Sagrada Comunión. Como recordatorio, estas políticas fluyen de la caridad. Es un verdadero acto de amor desear proteger a nuestro prójimo para que podamos continuar participando en una comunidad más grande durante estos tiempos difíciles. Necesitamos ser mejores ejemplos de amor en el mundo, un amor que se sacrifique por el otro si esperamos evangelizar y transformar la cultura un acto de amor a la vez.
