Dear Parish Family,
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 1:2). I hope you are having a blessed Advent season as we prepare our hearts to welcome the Lord in the celebration of His Nativity this Christmas.
Christmas is a time when we normally anticipate the church being full of family members and visitors gathering to worship God and celebrate together His birth as Emmanuel (God-with-us).
Because of Covid-19, many will not be traveling this year, and some may not feel comfortable gathering in person to worship. As your pastor, I wish to encourage you to join us for Mass, where we are following diocesan and CDC guidelines to limit the spread of the virus. I also wish to remind you that the dispensation for the faithful from the ordinary Mass obligation during this pandemic is still in effect. Please use prudential judgment, considering your particular circumstances, in deciding the best course of action for you and your family. Know that you are missed and let us know if we can assist you during this time.
Because of social distancing requirements, our seating capacity in the church is limited. To help us plan for our Christmas liturgies we ask those who wish to attend Christmas Mass in person to please sign up in advance. You will find links to SignUp Genius forms for all Masses for the month of December on our website.
We have four Christmas Masses scheduled.
- Dec 24 at 4:00 pm – Vigil Mass (English)*
- Dec 24 at 7:00 pm – Vigil Mass (Spanish)*
- Dec 24 at 11:30 pm – Mass During the Night (English)
- Dec 25 at 10:00 am – Christmas Day Mass (English)

The 4:00 pm Vigil Mass will be preceded by the choir singing carols beginning at 3:30, and the 11:30 pm Mass During the Night will be preceded by Matins (the Office of Readings) with Extended Vigils beginning at 11:00 pm. As the diocese has directed that there be no congregational singing during the pandemic, please allow the choir to be our voices this year as we praise God with song.
Please plan to arrive early for Mass to be seated by the ushers. Anyone not signed up in advance will be seated after Mass has begun if there is room. We will have limited overflow seating available in the Fellowship Hall and, if needed, in the large meeting room of the Conference Center, where Mass will be livestreamed and Holy Communion brought to you.
If you are not attending Mass in person but wish to have Holy Communion brought to your home, please contact the parish to schedule a visit.
As we consider the call from Gaudete Sunday to “Rejoice always” (Phil 4:4, 1 Thes 5:16), we are mindful of St. Peter’s words: “There is cause for rejoicing here. You may for a time have to suffer the distress of many trials; but this is so that your faith, which is more precious than the passing splendor of fire-tried gold, may by its genuineness lead to praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ appears” (1 Pt 1:6-7).
Know that you are in our prayers. May the Lord find us eager to welcome Him at His coming. As the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ draws near, I want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. God bless!

Querida familia parroquial:
Gracia y paz a vosotros de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo (Efesios 1: 2). Espero que estén teniendo una temporada de Adviento bendecida mientras preparamos nuestros corazones para recibir al Señor en la celebración de Su Natividad esta Navidad.
La Navidad es una época en la que normalmente anticipamos que la iglesia estará llena. de familiares y visitantes reunidos para adorar a Dios y celebrar juntos su nacimiento como Emmanuel (Dios con nosotros).
Debido al Covid-19, muchos no viajarán este año, y es posible que algunos no se sientan cómodos reunidos en persona para adorar. Como su pastor, deseo alentarlo a que se una a nosotros para la Misa, donde seguimos las pautas diocesanas y de los CDC para limitar la propagación del virus.
También deseo recordarles que la dispensa para los fieles de la obligación ordinaria de misa durante esta pandemia todavía está en vigor. Utilice su criterio prudencial, teniendo en cuenta sus circunstancias particulares, al decidir el mejor curso de acción para usted y su familia. Sepa que lo extrañamos y háganos saber si podemos ayudarlo durante este tiempo.
Debido a los requisitos de distanciamiento social, nuestra capacidad de asientos en la iglesia es limitada. La misa de vigilia de las 4:00 pm será precedida por el coro cantando villancicos a partir de las 3:30, y la misa de las 11:30 pm durante la noche será precedida por maitines (la Oficina de lecturas) con vigilias extendidas a
partir de las 11:00 pm. Como la diócesis ha ordenado que no haya cantos congregacionales durante la pandemia permita que elcoro para ser nuestras voces este año mientras alabamos a Dios con canciones.
Por favor, planee llegar temprano para que los ujieres se sienten en la misa. Cualquiera que no se haya registrado con anticipación se sentará después de que haya comenzado la Misa si hay lugar. Tendremos asientos adicionales limitados disponibles en el Salón de becas y, si es necesario, en la gran sala de reuniones del Centro de Conferencias, donde se transmitirá la Misa en vivo y se le traerá la Sagrada Comunión.
Si no asiste a Misa en persona pero desea que le traigan la Sagrada Comunión a su casa, comuníquese con la parroquia para programar una visita. Cuando consideramos el llamado del domingo de Gaudete a “Estad siempre gozosos” (Fil 4: 4, 1 Ts 5:16), tenemos presente Palabras de San Pedro: “Aquí hay motivo de alegría. Es posible que por un tiempo tenga que
sufrir la angustia de muchas pruebas; pero esto es para que vuestra fe, que es más preciosa que el esplendor pasajero del oro refinado por el fuego, lleve por su autenticidad a la alabanza, la gloria y la honra cuando Jesucristo aparezca ”(1 P 1: 6-7).
Sepa que está en nuestras oraciones. Que el Señor nos encuentre ansiosos por darle la bienvenida en su venida. Como el Se acerca la Natividad de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, quiero desearle a usted y a su familia una Feliz
